About The Role

Due to our continued growth and success, we're looking for Digital Designer who's looking for a new challenge in our fast paced digital creative team. The role will be hands on, designing digital display ads for our large campaigns, designing emails and enhancing digital customer experience wherever possible.

Your day-to-day duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Producing design work that adheres to MandM Direct’s brand identity
  • Designing and coding customer-facing site content such as homepages and landing pages
  • Designing and coding customer-facing emails, including marketing, transactional and onsite
  • Providing creative for the MandM Direct social media sites, affiliates and google
  • Producing print design work when required, such as for catalogues and PR material
  • Working to timeframes specified in creative briefs, ensuring that deadlines are met
  • Ensuring graphics folders are logically organised and kept tidy on all relevant drives (e.g. S drive, CC library, mm-prod-app server)
  • Driving to improve the site’s usability and accessibility
  • Providing support to other departments as and when required.

Hours of work:

This is a hybrid role working 2 days per week onsite in Leominster, Herefordshire, and 3 days remotely

General office hours, Monday – Friday although this role can be flexible around core working hours.

About You

To be considered you will need the following skills and knowledge:

  • A Degree or Diploma in design or related creative area, or a minimum of one year’s experience working within a commercial design role
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud; primarily Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign
  • Must be able to produce commercially orientated design that is customer focused with a good eye for detail
  • Organised and aware of deadlines, and can work to short notice or under pressure
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Able to work as part of a team and be able to communicate well with both technical and editorial staff
  • The ability to adhere to brand guidelines
  • Literate in the areas of web design
  • Sound knowledge of Windows as this role is Windows based
  • A good understanding of HTML and CSS, able to write tidy and legible code
  • Competent Photoshop user with good image manipulation and retouching skills.
