You will have overall responsible for driving and delivering the outbound stock control processes within a 24/7 operation through management of the Stock Control Supervisor and the team. You will constantly drive efficiencies in stock management from processing customer orders to maintaining a full outbound warehouse. This is a busy, varied and rewarding role for the right individual with unparalelled attention to detail and a great head for data.
Your day-to-day duties and responsibilities will include:
- Create, track, communicate and improve inventory KPIs/SLAs
- Lead the inventory planning process and be the lead for any site re-layout associated with inventory or performance improvements required
- Support the Operations Manager to provide leadership and with any strategic initiatives/projects eg site automation or offsite storage 3PL
- Plan, lead and achieve site slotting processes to ensure that stock is available at the right time in the right place in the right quantities
- Support the Stock Control Supervisor to ensure that stock is managed across all locations
- Stock supply ensuring that DC/WMS data and performance analysis takes place as required, to increase efficiency and effectiveness across the sites; supporting business strategy.
- Work alongside the warehouse operations team to maximise the day to day efficiency and proactively seek continuous improvement of processes and procedures.
- Provide daily, weekly, monthly productivity measures against plan and make costed suggestions for improvement
- To lead a small team, ensuring that all areas of performance management are supported and actioned as well as supporting safe and compliant working of the team
- Liaise with various departments including Buying & Logistics teams to carry out stock correction activities
- Use WMS to interrogate transactions, identify process improvements and root cause of any stocking issues thus improving accuracy and efficiency
- Responsible for staff shop, stock levels and management.
- Attend internal and external meetings to represent the department and/or Company as required
- Complete all training to the highest possible standard and within a timely manner and ensure that professional qualifications (where relevant) ae kept up to date
- Careful management of person-sensitive data and upholding Data Protection Policy.
Hours of work: 9-5 but need to be flexible on 24 hour needs
