About The Role

We have a new vacancy for a Facilities Manager within our Site Services team located at Moreton on Lugg, Herefordshire while also providing essential support to our Head Office site in Leominster when required. This role will be to provide Facilities support to the business across all sites, ensuring that the needs of the business, staff, contractors and visitors are met.

Your day-to-day duties and responsibilities will include:  

  • Controlling task requests via JIRA, keeping SSTM and customer updated on progress
  • Using of best business practices to control and reduce operational costs
  • Obtaining quotations and submitting competitive costs for works prior to sign off by SSTM
  • Providing and recording project planning details to SSTM / Jira
  • Booking and maintaining preventative maintenance (PM) records for premises and equipment
  • Establishing and maintaining effective working relationship with all contractors
  • Carrying out site inductions for contractors and visitors as required
  • Carrying out site inspections; wear and tear, damage, deficiencies, etc
  • Ensuring all contractors and Maintenance Ops work safely and adhere to site rules / H&S Regulations
  • Maintaining Permit to Work log for contractor/Maintenance Op as appropriate (all sites)
  • Responding to emergency situations or other urgent issues involving the facilities, this maybe required out of hours
  • Hosting contractors for out of normal hours works as required (eg electrical power downs and repairs)
  • Ensuring sites are prepared for adverse weather conditions (snow, ice, darkness)
  • Responsible for the management of the cleaning (including facilities ops) team
  • Responsible for the management of the maintenance team
  • Ensuring cleaning team adhere to COSHH requirements and are suitably trained on chemical usage
  • Ensuring all internal and external areas of the Moreton and Leominster sites are maintained to a high standard and the sites and staff are audited monthly
  • Supporting the management of the canteen, staff, policies and processes
  • Supporting the management of 3rd party security companies.
  • Ensure all documents are stored/named correctly and comply with the Records Management Policy
  • Full job status details are recorded and logged on Jira
  • Security staff and contractor records maintained
  • Net2 Paxton updated as required
  • SOPs drafted and submitted to SSTM for approval on new procedures

Hours of work: 

On site full time, Monday - Friday, working general office hours. Flexibility and on-call duties are needed to suit business needs.
