The Role Scope

The Web Content Editor is an exciting new role that will join the dynamic Content Team within the Customer department. We are seeking a detail-oriented and organised individual to join our expanding team. This role will be responsible for editing, updating and quality checking the content on the website, working with a diverse range of teams to support the overall trading plan and wider business roadmap. 


✨Role key responsibilities

  • Using a web content management system to edit and update onsite content including images and text, across homepages, navigation and information pages, ensuring pages and templates are engaging and deliver high customer experience

  • Working closely to deliver in accordance with the content calendar and trading plans, ensuring all updates are completed promptly and accurately 

  • Maintain an organised approach to managing multiple tasks and changes at one time, ensuring all work is prioritised and completed efficiently

  • Be responsive to change, having the ability to respond quickly to reactive, urgent changes to the website content as needed

  • Thoroughly review and test content changes in a test environment for accuracy, consistency, and adherence to brand guidelines. Areas to include, but not limited to: written content, URLs, images and image quality and page layouts across all devices to ensure a consistent and optimal user experience

  • Adhere to a website QA checklist when analysing content to ensure all elements are thoroughly reviewed and meet the specified standards before publishing

  • Collaborate effectively within the content workflow. Work with the Content and Trading Planner to understand and execute requirements, reviewing your work for accuracy, collaborating with peers for QA support

  • Conduct regular audits of the CMS platform; ensuring the CMS is maintained in an organised and efficient manner by regularly reviewing content, removing outdated information, and adhering to set processes


 

About You

✨Skill/competency

Essential

  • Strong organisational skills and high level of attention to detail

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; including a good understanding of spelling and grammar


Desirable

  • Experience in using a CMS Platform - Contentstack or other

  • Previous experience in an eCommerce role

  • Basic understanding of UX principles and how they apply to website content

  • Experienced user of various other third party tools i.e. Monday.com, Jira, Bloomreach, Zendesk

  • Experience in updating and managing content in different languages

  • Basic awareness and understanding of HTML
