About The Role

We have a new opportunity for a temporary Junior Buying Assistant for up to 12 months. The main duties of the role will be to process samples received from suppliers, in addition to administrative duties and the follow through of orders after purchase. 
This opportunity could be ideal for a recent graduate looking to gain experience in a forward thinking global online business.
Key Accountabilities:
  • Routinely running sample reports; identifying outstanding samples by delivery month
  • Requesting and chasing outstanding samples from Suppliers
  • Accurately processing samples received from Suppliers; locate and utilise the relevant Purchase Orders
  • Prioritizing the samples received as per the trading priorities
  • Identifying variances between the sample received and the official Purchase Order and raising as an issue with the relevant Buying Assistant if necessary
  • Collating and sending the 26 Weeks Sales reports to Suppliers on a weekly basis
  • Checking re-buying samples with imagery in the Hi-Res Library
  • Checking Made to Order samples against CADs and identify any variances.
  • Contacting Buyers/Suppliers to make amendments and request for a new sample to be re-issued
  • Coding images and asset files from Suppliers
  • Communicating with our Goods In department to resolve delivery queries
  • Making amendments to Purchase Orders where required
  • Raising official Purchase Orders
  • Check imagery on the website is consistent and highlight any lines to re-shoot.

Hours of work:

General office hours are 9.00am – 5.00pm, Monday – Friday although, flexitime options are available.

About You

  • Methodical, Strong organisational and communication skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • The ability to handle a heavy workload within tight deadlines.
  • Strong commercial awareness and knowledge of the market place.
  • Analytical and numeracy skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written skills.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft and/or Google packages.
